IT Security Engineer (M365)

Join our IT Security team to secure Microsoft 365 services, resolve security challenges and continuously improve our security and backup infrastructure.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining security measures for Microsoft 365 (M365) services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and related platforms
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, escalating as necessary and ensuring timely resolution
• Maintaining and optimizing IT, network security & backup systems based on service requirements
• Collaborating with development teams in order to optimize system implementation according to service requirements
• Provide support and solutions to IT users for security issues (L2/L3 tier)
• Maintain, evaluate and optimize IT and network security & backup systems

Good to have:

• Basic knowledge on security configurations and hardening of Linux-based systems in accordance with best practices
• Working knowledge of AWS security tools and services
• Experience with security assessments and penetration testing, including vulnerability identification and remediation strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related field (or 2 years of equivalent practical experience)
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 services, including Entra, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online and Teams.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and experience with Bash scripting
• Familiarity with security concepts and principles, such as access control, encryption and vulnerability management
• Able to work independently and proactively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, CompTIA Security+) are a plus
