Senior Accounts Payable Associate

Main Duties:

• Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate and timely processing
• Prepare and execute payments in accordance with internal procedures
• Reconcile vendor accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities related to Accounts Payable
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures, controls and applicable tax requirements
• Communicate with internal departments such as Procurement, Controlling, HR and IT
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to AP transactions
• Support the documentation and standardization of Accounts Payable procedures
• Contribute to the harmonization and improvement of AP processes across different European countries
• Support the onboarding and mentoring of less experienced team members
• Coordinate task distribution within the team and help ensure an efficient workflow
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous development of AP operations
• Work in SAP S/4HANA and other relevant finance tools

Work Experience and Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting
• Experience in a Shared Service Center or international environment is an advantage
• Good understanding of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA or similar ERP systems
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
• Good command of English, both written and spoken
• German or another European language is considered an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Structured and independent approach to work
• Good organizational and communication skills
• Ability to coordinate tasks and support less experienced colleagues
• Proactive approach and willingness to contribute to process improvements
