Mechanical Draftsman

Job Duties

• Producing layouts and schematics of heating and cooling systems (pipework and equipment)
• Producing layouts and schematics of ventilating systems (ductwork and equipment)
• Read and interpret technical plans as well as laying out a technically correct plan under the direction of an engineer
• Edit and make changes in AutoCAD and Revit as necessary for projects
• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed
• Prepare electronic (pdf’s, dwg, BIM models, etc.) and hard-set packages for client use

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Mechanical Draftsman
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit
• MS Office skills
• Attention to detail and the ability to execute on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to coordinate with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and plumbing drawings
